To eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT), a preventable disease often caused by unclean birthing practices. BD has donated cash, products, employee involvement, field visits, matching gifts and promotional support.

Major Objectives
The major objective of BD's giving programs is to mobilize its financial, product and human resources to focus on issues where we can have a positive influence on the health of at-risk populations around the world. In addition, we will participate in building healthy and livable communities around the world where we have operations and where our associates work and live. To more strategically align our program, we are particularly interested in efforts that address HIV/AIDS, diabetes, infectious diseases, immunization and initiatives that expand the reach of diagnostics capabilities.
