Waiting for Vista

Where's the Microsoft hype machine?

PodcastsSix months before the release of a major new operating system, you would expect the Microsoft hype machine to be running at full buzz. But there's a curious lack of anticipation in the runup to Windows Vista, which Microsoft says will ship early in 2007. That's partly because PCs and their software are maturing. But it also reflects a lack of truly compelling new features in Vista, says BW's Steve Wildstrom
